CO- FOUNDER, PARTNER
DR. BOB DEUTSCH
Dr. Bob Deutsch is one of the world's leading cognitive anthropologists who provides consultation on branding, marketing, and strategy to the world of commerce. Dr. Bob casts a primal eye on modernity to help his clients better understand people as real human beings and not just as a number, a demographic, or a consumer. In this way he offers valuable insights into how the story of a product and company can fit into peoples’ story of themselves; this merging of narratives being the essence of branding, offline and online.
Dr. Bob has lived in New Guinea and Amazonia studying preliterate tribes, worked in strategy rooms on Madison Avenue and in war rooms along Pennsylvania Avenue. One of Dr. Bob’s current interest is in bringing the sensibility of the artist – novelists, filmmakers, architects, choreographers, designers, and musicians — to the executive offices and boardrooms of business. The goal: to increase the understanding business has of peoples’ experience of life, and so transform executives from only being dollar-gatherers into also becoming business shamans who make money and make magic, who create an uptick in sales but also uplift culture, and who enhance peoples’ sense of being, not just their sense of having.
